Decent Bars In Central Bangkok

Featured Replies

Hi,

I've got a few friends over from London this week who want to go to some decent bars (not clubs as its a "school night" tonght...) whilst they are here. They are into funky house etc and don't want to see the girly bars :o .

I have already taken them to Sirocco (in state tower), Tapas (in Silom) and Bed SupperClub.

Has anyone got any other sugestions? Some of my friends have suggested Koi and Crystal bar on Soi 20, has anyone been there?

Cheers.

I was also thinking about hu'u in the Ascott, but it's a bit far from Sukhumvit, anyone been there?

Koi is apparently the new 'in' place these days. Hu'u bar is alright..nice cocktails, good house music, but not really a dance place (I was over christmas at Hu'u bar in bali....which was great...hence the mediocre rating for the one in bangkok now :D) but i guess still a good chill out bar :o

the other somewhat popular place....but in my opinion only cos its a bit hard to get in...is the Met club at the metropole hotel. its usually members only, unless you are a guest at one of the hotel outlets...for instance dinner at Cyan and u can get in to the Met.
