Hi all, after a few boxes of decent fireworks, anyone know where you can get them ? Thnx

Lady in Warrot market, hidden behind dry fruit sellers.

A real big selection, esp for bigger stuff, is in a few of the temple shops after the Chinese gate going north. One on the left has a big back room full and might even bring the huge ones in for you as they do for me.

It seems fireworks and fire-kites have been banned again this year - unless you have the approval of the local headman - something that headmen cannot give until the government issues notional "guidelines" at some point in the future.   To quote the Interior Ministry,  anyone caught using fireworks, firecrackers  "or other prohibited items" during Loy Krathong faces up to three years in prison and a 60,000-baht fine.

Thanks all, I was getting the car fixed and right next door an old man was selling various Chinese ones, I bought a carrier bag full of them for under 700bhat, I lit a few with my lad last nite and obviously they are loud and dodgy, some of them go in the complete opposite direction aimed which all adds a bit of fun for us, we just sprinted off... will add the google map link later for anyone who wants to blow there own limbs off. Cheers
