Regarding a current discussion on the Farming In Thailand Forum. Boric acid is used for making an organic program compatible ant bait. We need to ask for it in pharmacies and need the Thai name. Thanks. Don

googling it, on a website: coolthaihouse, under Insect Control Considerations;

the following Trade Names were suggested (only the English names were stated, so maybe that says something... :

Orthoboric acid,
Boracic acid,
Sassolite,
Optibor,
Borofax

Bora Care

Most people selling it will understand the English. However the Thai word for acid is กรด said before the English name in this case, so you could try grot boric. The link shows it as ยาฆ่าเชื้อ as well, which means antiseptic!

Wiki entry shows one of its uses as killing insects, it is described as " the gift that keeps on killing", very intresting.

edit: I forgot the most obvious thing, it isn't a Thai product so the packaging will be in English as the link shows it.

As in above posts.

Either simply the Thai transcription for "boric acid":

บอริค แอซิด

(bor-rík ae-sít)

or use the Thai word for acid followed by transcript of "boric":

กรดบอริก

( gròt bor-rík)

boric = บอริก

Always good to do a printout and take with you for asking/shopping.

A picture says more than a thousand words.
