New ‘Central Mahachai’ to open southwest of Bangkok

Another shopping mall, “Central Plaza Mahachai” is set to open in Samut Sakorn, the province southwest of Bangkok, on Nov. 23.

 

As the name suggests, the mall is located not far from the famous Mahachai seafood market, which is a major seat in Thailand’s fishing industry and employs thousands of migrant workers.

 

Like other malls in Thailand that have distinct concepts such as “the biggest,”the “most creative,” or just having the most trees, Central Mahachai takes inspiration from the province’s seafood hub status and was built to look like a giant fishing boat.

Finally. This is exactly what Bangkok needed. Decades from now we will look back and think "how could people survive back then without their 67,440 shopping malls?".

Another quality article by coconuts. As if these poor immigrant workers would ever have the chance to go to this mall. And from the picture I can't see any similarity with a fishing boat.
