Register the company elsewhere while having employees in Thailand

Featured Replies

Hello guys,

My company is expanding and we were thinking to move it to Singapore to make it easier to transfer and receive money from abroad.

Problem is that at least for now the majority of our staff need to be on the ground in Thailand.

I was wondering if you have any link or real-life experience on how it works, for example, to pay employees and rent in Thailand while the company is registered elsewhere. Also how it would work with transferring money between the Thai company bank account and the bank account in another country and also how it would work with work permits and taxes.

I know is a complex question but I would just be happy with a direction on where to read on the argument, googling I keep end up on thai visa but not on what i'm exactly looking for.

Thanks in advance,

D.

Hire professional help.  That's my advice.

GE, Siemens, Honda and hundreds of other companies have their corporations registered elsewhere with a division registered in Thailand.  The main office controls the assets and IP, and the Thai division does what they're told, in spite of (probably) being owned over 50% by Thai's.

When I refer to professional help, I mean someone more than just a form filler and monthly accountant.  There may be a lot of tax advantages in how your organization is structured, where the profits are realized, etc.  Google Google (not a typo), Apple, Uber, and Amazon to see how they're making out like bandits on taxes using offshore divisions.
