Hi, I'm new to this board and new to Thailand. Currently I'm looking for a decent PI agency in Bangkok. Many results showed up on google. But I'm not sure which ones to go for, seeing that they are quite expensive. Does anyone have good recommendations?

 

 

So please recommend me a trustworthy company that can get the job done.

They sure do. Do a reverse image search for the Facebook profile photos of the reviewers. Fake, fake, fake .......

You first need to state what you need to be investigated. It differs a bit when you need to know if your GF is cheating or you suspect industrial espionage.

Sorry I didn't know the rules here. I would happily remove the link but it's no longer an option available. I listed it as an example to show my difficulties with finding a credible PI.

Please tell me if it's a guy named Somchai or a Lady named Nam. I guess if you want help try to be a bit more descriptive and maybe someone knows the right person to help. Other than that Google will likely be your best option.

I'm not looking for a person. I just need a background check etc on someone.

You need to be slightly more specific. PI's who look into a whether a girlfriend is being straight are different from those who might specialise in checking out a potential business associate.

could it possibly be that his GF is cheating ...  ??   well I never   !!   fancy that ....

Easier just to move on, who needs the drama. This is Thailand, when one train leaves the station another comes along straight away....no need to apply western uptight procedures to life here.

I don't want to go into too much details.

But this is something I wish to do. I hope people could respect that and focus on helping me instead of making snarky remarks about cheating Thai gfs.

There is a guy in Pattaya---(will probably work BKK as well) He has quite a good reputation, (I think S/African) he mainly uses Thai girls...wander into the toilet where the mark is, to do their make up and moan about a farang boyfriend being mean..... 3 other girls will immediately tell her their life story...how they have got this one fooled...or how their much better off than you they are.. etc.

I had a friend use him.....oh must be 14 years ago, he came back with an address she stays at when he isn't here....Not hers, friend wanted more proof , got a photo of her walking along hand in hand..(not so easy before Mobiles cams)   my friend wanted more proof....to which the guy said...Look you really dont want to know do you.

He married her...still together....(maybe all 3 of them.....)

Thanks. But it doesn't sound like the kind of service I need. I'm hoping for a more professional approach that could provide me with photos and videos if possible.

Probably a waste of time. Many companies here dont do background checks before employing staff because the checks are fairly pointless. Thais often avoid getting a criminal record or bad reputation by admitting to anything illegal that they have been caught doing, as admission often means that no charges are filed and the whole thing is hushed up. That's the "Thai way".

 

Makes me want to vomit, but what do I know?

That's exactly what my friend said......after the guy had given him all the details of the conversation with his girl...details which only he could know was true......it was always, "but I need more proof".

Tough to find a company like this with a website and office. These things are likely done by people who did this for a living and retired here and sideline in this. Good luck in your search and I hope the news is not bad on whatever you find

do a national credit bureau check.  probably will need their permission.  Anyone selling securities, legally, will have an easily verifiable license.  Girls...send me 2000+600 bar fine and I will do my best...btw..brown skin, 160 cm, 47 Kg, good dancer...doesnt really narrow it down enough.

So far most of the comments are about their personal feelings towards Thai women. Not a single one actually lists a name for me to consider and for others to comment on.

Here's a lead. Stickman (google him) used to do exactly what you are asking for as a sideline. He's gone home to NZ now but you might email him for contacts. He probably still has remote ears to the ground here.

If you have a name and others people comments are bad, they could be sued.
