Headed south from Buriram prov for rt 348.

Stopped for late breakfast/early-lunch at one of the

rice & 2-dippers-of-stuff joints. B40.

Later construction zone.

papa missed the right turn of the highway so ended up taking a loop

around through the national forest there.

The roads were all closed off for new grading and paving.

papa onliest traffic. haha

Pleasant serendipitous ride. an hour +.

Came out north of big lake right near my brunch stop haha.

2nd time was the charm so made it down 348 to

the four lane roads 33 / 359 / 304 / 331.

ripping pretty good to make Patts before dark.

120kph, occ 130 (9000rpm) on the meters

[red-line = 11,500].

331 has lots of stop-lights

with trucks and such backed up.

papa lane filters up and if see no fuzz around,

go quickly.

Made home b4 dark,

thanks Buddha.

How did you like the Angels ? Considering them as the Metzeler radials will not last much longer before I want to change them. Still some tread left, but I like tires in good shape. No place to try and save a few bucks.

previous owner had fitted the angels, think he even done a Trackday on them they were really worn on the right hand side,,,,,think he was happy with them,so I only done 850 km on them.......

difficult picking tyres for versys nice to have something for a bit of dusty off road riding..this time went for pure road orientated tyre ..next time probably get something with more of a tarmac /off road mix.

Said farewell the CBR 150R  2007... brought in to the shop to have the carburetors fixed, then the wife came to pick me up, and she told me the mechanic wanted to know if I wanted to sell the bike....Done..

IT was a good little and reliable bike.. great for school and around town....

Wife is happy I have only one bike now... still working on the CB 500X.. now there is room..5555

Just curious, how many km do you get out of these tyres and do you ride them hard?

Do you know if the mechanic wanted to ride it himself,

or flip it or what?

Hopefully she went to a good home.

Not sure how long they will last ,,they are pretty soft rubber so not a long lasting tyre,if they was on an in-line 600cc 4 cylinder would be lucky to get around 4,000 miles from the rear,,,the versys hasn’t got loads of power so maybe 6-8000 km..of on a big trip in a few days should total around 5000 km so see how they look after that...the front will last twice as long as the rear anyway.

you can ride these tyres pretty hard they have a different 2 differen rubber compound A bit harder on the Center and soft on the sides.

Not quite sure, he has worked on the bike before and has a bit of history with the bike... I trust he takes good care of her...He serviced the bike all these years very well, which is what he told my wife.

So... now she is on a roll and will go after the remaining bike the CBR 300R...   I was trying for the CB 500X... there is room now, but she has my huevos...

Looking for tires for the 300 CBR.... Michellin Pilots or the Pirelli?

If you ride in the rain I would go with the Michellins as they out perform the Pirelli Angels in the wet. In the dry the Angels corner better. Since I don't ride much in the rain I'd go with the Angels.

Small repair shops have tools, fuses, &c, but often don't have these plugs,

so only kit you need to tour with really.

Enjoy the ride bro.

Bought a new Japan made chain, RK RX-Ring GB525XSO Gold 120link from Ricoland Thailand for $13 less than it would have cost me online in the US. Times have sure changed wrt to parts and supplies here!

The Ricoland shop across from Central Rama lll is a mini clone of the main Tokyo Bay store. Cool!
