webfact Posted November 27, 2017 Share Posted November 27, 2017 Russian tourist dies after going on snorkeling tour to Koh Rang A 66 year old Russian tourist was pronounced dead after drowning on a tour from Koh Chang to the neighboring island of Koh Rang. The tour boat was met on its return by Sawang Boriboon and International Clinic medics at Bang Bao pier. CPR was performed as Vasily Gromov was rushed to hospital but he was pronounced dead. Mr Gromov had been with friends when there had been an accident on a snorkeling tour to see the coral, reported Manager. Efforts by friends and staff to revive him had already failed. Bang Bao pier to Koh Rang is 1-2 hours on those old fishing boats that most people go on tours with, and still a good 30 minutes on a speedboat.
