Crossy Posted November 28, 2017 Posted November 28, 2017 OK, it's that time of year again. The "seasonal" songs are on their way. So, let's have your ideas of the good, the bad and the indifferent. Just post your very best and very worst and truly awful Christmas songs of all time, YouTube links optional but preferred. My picks;- Best, actually I think this 35th anniversary version is better than the original. And THE worst "I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"
Ron19 Posted November 28, 2017 Posted November 28, 2017 And the worst ( where is trans face palm when you need it )
Crossy Posted November 28, 2017 Author Posted November 28, 2017 Lord, what was Paul M. smoking? I lasted a whole 30 seconds ... "I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"
pgrahmm Posted November 28, 2017 Posted November 28, 2017 Tree lights only & a good sound system.....One of my favs at Christmas... Elvis with JB on guitar.....
Crossy Posted November 28, 2017 Author Posted November 28, 2017 Let's try for the two, best AND worst I also note the the Paul M. record states "not for sale" I really cannot imagine why ... "I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"
Suradit69 Posted November 28, 2017 Posted November 28, 2017 Best: Leontyne Price "O Holy Night" (YouTube doesn't do it justice). Worst: Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer ... at least this production.

You will notice that above "NOT FOR SALE" are the words "PROMOTION RECORD". It's a pre-release "Promo", distributed free to Radio DJs.

AhFarangJa Posted November 28, 2017 Posted November 28, 2017 Worst.......Anything at all that Boney M threw on to an unsuspecting public......Best.......I will get back to you on that one.....
adammike Posted November 28, 2017 Posted November 28, 2017 Worst Stevie Nicks croaking her way through silent night. Best is still Bing Crosby doing silent night and Kings College Cambridge.
Damrongsak Posted November 28, 2017 Posted November 28, 2017 Bob Rivers has some great "Twisted Christmas" songs. Like Walking Round In Womens Underwear. This one is pretty good:
Jonnapat Posted November 28, 2017 Posted November 28, 2017 The worst of the worst is the ridiculous ""I saw Mommy kissing Santa Claus underneath the mistletoe last night""
Kadilo Posted November 28, 2017 Posted November 28, 2017 Best - Fairytale of New York, The PoguesWorst - the rest. Sent from my iPad using Thaivisa Connect
Crossy Posted November 29, 2017 Author Posted November 29, 2017 Bringing us bang up to date. I usually like Sia's offerings, but this just doesn't do it for me. "I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

Any advance on 33 seconds? Volume must be set to 11 or your time does not count! Promo. disc or not, did anyone actually play (or worse buy) this carp? "I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"
