Malaysian Ringgit

Featured Replies

Any idea where I can get hold of Ringgit in Phuket?   My own bank doesn't have them, and I don't want to use the airport currency people.

Exchange booths in patong where the malaysian cruiseliners are or Central the exchange booth next the banks. But don't expect a good rate...

It would be a cold day in hell before I'd venture to Patong, however I'll check out Central as you suggest.   Not driving there for a couple of weeks so plenty of time.

I bought a minimal amount at KL airport. Then find a foreign exchange place in KL that does not charge a fee. Went there last month.

Will be driving there so want a reasonable amount to cover the border crossing admin costs.

Well done that man!   Phoned and went there this afternoon.   Rate was good, 7.9 as against SCB's selling rate of 8.35.
