Police called to an incident in progress at Bangkok Bridge on Rama 3 Road found a woman threatening to jump.

Efforts by Wat Phrayakrai cops to calm the situation failed and the woman jumped around 4 meters to the ground below suffering arm, leg and back injuries.

She was later named as 38 year old Sudarat Tannarat a marketing worker at a clothes factory in Thonburi.

She was clothed but not wearing any shoes.

Police determined that she was stressed due to some personal issue but will investigate further when the victim recovers sufficiently to be interviewed.

she'll be now much more stressed - if she wakes up?

Why do Thais always take their shoes off before jumping. Not just Thais I believe, but all Asians. I've also seen countless times them on the train or even sitting in restaurants with their shoes off. Disgusting habit.
