UK Travelling from Thailand to Burma

My wife wants to go and see the temple in Burma .

I had a quick look on line  and got a little confused .  Does any UK people in the forum have experience of this trip and will I need to obtain a visa to visit Burma

Yes been twice. You apply for the visa online yourself via their government website. Print your piece of paper off and then present it at Yangon immigration. Easy.

Which temple....shwedagon  I presume. We also did a trip to the Golden Rock too.

You could also enter Burma from Phu Nam Ron in Kanchanaburi if you are feeling adventurous, but you would need to get a visa in Bangkok first.
