UK Travelling from Thailand to Burma

My wife wants to go and see the temple in Burma .

I had a quick look on line  and got a little confused .  Does any UK people in the forum have experience of this trip and will I need to obtain a visa to visit Burma

Which temple....shwedagon  I presume. We also did a trip to the Golden Rock too.

You could also enter Burma from Phu Nam Ron in Kanchanaburi if you are feeling adventurous, but you would need to get a visa in Bangkok first.
