CityNews – A ceremony was held in aid to promote a new protection project for the historical Yang Na trees on the Chiang Mai – Lamphun Road.

The Minister of Ministry of Culture, Veera Rojpojanarat, attended a blessing ceremony which aims to protect the historical Yang Na trees on the Chiang Mai – Lamphun road on January 5, as part of an initiative project that aims to treasure the historical trees across the country.

Of the 65 locations chosen all over the nation to be protected, four are in Chiang Mai including the Yang Na Trees on Chiang Mai – Lamphun Road, the giant Rain Tree at Chiengmai Gymkhana Club, the Yang Na Tree at Wat Chedi Luang and the Bastard Poom in San Pa Tong.

Not sure what sort of milage one gets per blessing or for being a Bastard.
