January 13, 20188 yr Two arrested in Chiang Rai with 3.24 m meth pills By The Nation Chiang Rai police arrested two Hmong-ethnic suspects late on Friday night while they were allegedly smuggling 3.24 million methamphetamine pills from the border into Muang district. The two were arrested at 12.10am on Saturday at a road checkpoint in Mae Chan district while they were driving a pickup truck. One of the suspects was identified as Ekkaraj Kesornkatika, 21, and the other is a 17-year-old boy. They were accused of smuggling the drug from a Hmong trafficking ring in Chiang Rai’s Wiang Kaen district.
