Army conscript taken to checkpoint for a re-enactment

Army conscript Wanchai Jampa was taken to the road checkpoint in Mae Suai district of Chiang Rai on Friday night (Jan 12) to re-enact the crime that he allegedly fired shots from his M16 assault rifle into the car of Sornchai  Sathitrakdamrong killing him in the car on the night of Jan 2.

Mae Suai district police escorted the private, attached to the 17th infantry regiment, from his base in Phayao province to the checkpoint at Ban Mae Tam, in order to avoid arousing the attention of villagers who might be still angry with the shooting incident.

After the re-enactment, he was escorted to the Meng Rai Maharat camp in Chiang Rai for detention for 12 days as ordered by the military court. No bail was granted.

He will be invited to come back at a time more suitable to himself? :whistling:

But then again he is only an idiot not a jumped up little rich, holier than thou media prick!

I should have thought the army would have seen a re-enactment of the events that have led to the deaths of several cadets as a good idea. Obviously not from its point of view.
