I will be staying in Chiang Mai for a month but will be heading off by bike to pai for a week. Rather than keep a hotel room for the week in the middle of my stay are there any railway station style paid lockers available in CM. Or is my most economical option simply to check my luggage into a cheap 350 bht per night guest house.

Free, leave at your hotel, pick it up and stay another night when you return. No need to pay for a room when you are gone.
