webfact Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 Three siblings, one friend arrested for serial shoplifting By The Nation Crime Suppression Division police have arrested three siblings and their friend suspected of stealing from convenience stores over the past two years. A police source said police are still looking for two other siblings who have been part of the “family business” of shoplifting. The arrested suspects were identified as Sorachai Iampheung, Molsinee Iampheung, and Saijai Iampheung, and their friend, Pannathorn Poldee. They were nabbed in Soi Ratchadapisek 36 in Bangkok’s Chatuchak district on Tuesday. The source said they were arrested while celebrating their shoplifting success at a restaurant in the soi. Their arrests were made on a court order issued after they allegedly shoplifted inside the Thung Sai branch of Tesco Lotus Express in Sai Thong Wattana in Kamphaeng Phet on December 27. Security cameras at the shop showed the suspects in action, the source said. CSD Sub-division 4 Pol Col Jaroonkiart Parnkaew said the four have been interrogated and admitted that had lived from the earnings of shoplifting during the past two years. They normally picked on Tesco Lotus Express shops because they believed they had poor security systems.
