Three foreigners, four Thais injured in crash in Ratchaburi

By The Nation

Two cars collided on a road in Ratchaburi’s Pak Thor district late Thursday night, injuring three westerners and four Thais, police said.

Police said the accident happened on the Huay Chinsee-Thung Luang road in Tambon Thung Luang in Pak Thor district.

One of the cars was driven by Phisit Kulphosri and had two Thai passengers and three foreign passengers, while the other car was driven by Samran Klunkham.

The two drivers were injured, along with five passengers. Two of the foreigners were identified as Doris Schaefer, 29, and Robert Fischhuber, 36. The other foreigner was not identified.

The seven were rushed to the Ratchaburi Hospital.

Police said the car with foreigners was heading to downtown Ratchaburi, while Samran was driving home after finishing his work as a truck driver.

Police have yet to investigate the accident’s cause.

Phisit and Samran.

Thankfully he was driving home after work and not still driving his truck.
