Laryngeal (larynx) cancer

Featured Replies

I am possibly facing this condition when going to check my complete loss of speech next week.

having trouble with my voice over a year now and complete loss of my voice since 10 days.

if it turns out to be cancer, what is my best bet for the best treatment? I will initially go for a check up to Bangkok-Pattaya hospital but (depending on the outcome) would like to ask around what would be a highly suggested hospital in Pattaya or Bangkok for such a condition in case I need surgery?

also the name of a highly recommended doctor if possible.

any advise appreciated thanks

I hope Sheryl the forum moderator will check in but sending best wishes and prayers for your health. Stay positive!

As said Sheryl can provide the best advise.

FYI:  Bangkok Hospital has a dedicated hospital facility here in Bangkok for cancer detection and treatment - I had a PET scan to rule out possible spread of cancer there and facility/treatment was excellent (of course a negative cancer spread may have been a factor in my positive judgement).  Had Bladder removed due cancer 6 months prior.

If it proves to be cancer, and is operable (i.e. not stage IV) I suggest  Dr. Nut Niyomudomwatana - US trained specialist in laryngeal surgery. Canm be seen at Bumrungrad, Samitivej (Srinakarin  branch, near Swampy airport) or Rajawithi Hospital. The last is a governement hospital, will cost much less but involve waits. It has a "Center of Excellence" for head and neck cancers.
