Looking to buy a used car

Featured Replies

I might be looking to buy a used car in the not-to-distant future. I was wondering if their are any reputable and honest dealers around,I have always been leery about buying a used car because you never know how well maintained the car was. Also I have heard stories about turning the odometer back to make it appear that the vehicle has less miles on it. Any info about buying a used car and the best way to proceed to try and ensure one can purchase a decent used car at a fair price would be appreciated.

Expat Auto have quite a good reputation. They will help with all the paperwork and have English speaking staff. They also have their own website.

I have found buying direct from a previous owner better than going to a dealer. Some nice people who have looked after their car well, don't know about winding the clock back and feel disappointed at the price some dealer offered them. Some good deals on the Chiang Mai buy and sell or second hand Chiang Mai sites on facebook from falangs leaving the country. As above I hear Expat Auto have a good rep.  Best of luck.

Signature class Toyota also offer some good vehicles.

One of their outlets is near Airport Plaza but there are others. Google it and you will find.

most car manufacturers  have a 'guaranteed' 2nd hand car department, Toyota sure, mitsubishi diamond, honda certified, nissan U cars, it would all depend on the age/ price/type/size of the vehicle you are looking for.

Expat Auto all the way.

They have some sort of warranty/guarantee program.
