Have been trying to keep up with the story of the 30 m Baht lottery win. Ok a fair bit of money - someone just won £48m back in Blighty .

Not even close to some of the US lottery wins, but certainly not to be sneezed at. A house on Lake Como would probably eat up half.

Big party in the Land of Smiles, every day, every night. And when that gets boring there is still time to think about other ways to spend all that money.

I would buy a remote tropical island, make a self sustained perfect home and divorce the rest of the humanity.

Find a really nice penthouse in Bangkok to live in.

Expand my business across Thailand and into Vietnam and Cambodia.

Being able to start going snowboarding to Whistler and Japan again would be nice.  

Might consider getting a few live in girls.

Definitely make my penthouse into an always on party for any friends that want to come round and crash.

Having a large business and employing several thousand people is not just about the money.    It's more about the fame and the 'Face' it would give you in Asia.

 

Travel more, help more people, maybe relax a bit more, though I am pretty relaxed now. Probably stay in the land of smiles, summer occasionally in England and Europe and America, and New Zealand. Enjoy helping others anonymously and enjoy the look on their faces.

Relax and ride the bike every time I want.

OMG - with 48million pounds, why would you even consider the hassles of a business?  Just enjoy life.

As for fame and face...whose members of TVF do actually know the names and faces of those who employ thousands of people in Thailand these days, and who cares?

Change it to a currency that's appreciating from one that's sliding down the pan.

Build a 15 bedroom guesthouse to UK building regs standard. A bar and pool woukd be a must. Staff it with the 5 family members, then take my wife on a slow round the world trip for maybe a year. I wouldn't gave to worry abbut the family ever again, and if they cock things up, its their fault.

I've been waiting for someone to say they would spend some of it on alcohol, women and gambling then foolishly spend the rest.

Too late for me to enjoy spending it all. I'd probably reward those who have helped me over the years. If they're still alive.

That's a hoary old one, but timely. 

I might buy a Subaru XV but the maintenance costs are a bit high. Possibly rent a house with trees in the garden. I have never been any good at spending money.
