Yes, even if she took the boy on a long bus ride and abandoned him at a temple would have been better than the heinous crime she committed.

What was going through her head ?, how did she plan to explain it ?, probably never find out !

The television coverage was disturbing, showing the little lad laying on the bottom of the klong while the photographer took some photos was something i wish i hadn't seen .

Watching the video I was deeply touched. Seeing this poor soul walking to his death. He followed the most precious thing in his life, his Mother.... This devil pushed him into the water and let him die for whatever reasons. I hope she will suffer for this in the rest of her life....

R.I.P. poor soul.

This story just broke my heart. Can not even fathom a mother doing that to a little boy...her son. When my son of six gets home from school I am going to give him a big hug.

Even if that was the case, it doesnt warrant throwing the little lad in the Khlong now does it.

Who said it does?  I certainly didn't, now, did I?

No back tracking now, stand up and be counted, cement your position.

No using your imagination to make up things I didn't say, or suggest, now.  Try reading what I said again then 'stand up and be counted' yourself.

Your comment was This is nothing to do with "Thai society", it is about one individual's actions.  You do not know if the father "ran away from his responsibilities".

Please tell me that the comment is not a suggestion that the mother may have thrown the poor little lad in the Khlong because the father ran away from his responsibilities.

Or..

Maybe I got Sh1t for brains?

Police interviewed Porn and discovered that she is a finance company employee from Samut Prakarn. She had split up with the boy's father a long time ago.

She had paid her mother to look after the boy but there had been problems and she had often had to take him to work with her.

They are split up, it doesn't say who left who. Just Weird says you do not know if the father ran away from his responsibilities, he never said he did, he said we don't know.

We know from the article they are not together and it seems the lack of support led to problems with her mum looking after the boy.

One thing is certain, whatever the reasons this is heartbreaking and horrific. I look at my two boys, 5 and 3, and wonder how someone could do this.

What I said was directed to someone who was Thai bashing and suggested that the father did run away from his responsibilities, something that the poster who made that remark could never know.  I was not suggesting that her action may have been justified.

So I am happy to go along with your own last statement.

My wife, who lost her first son to a drowning accident, has been talking about this all day.

"Why she do?  How she just take son and push into canal?  She throw away like garbage."

Considering that yesterday was the anniversary of her son's death, and also her own birthday, this particular event definitely has shaken her up.  I don't get it either.  How do you detach from your own humanity to be able to do something like that.  Totally beyond me.

I feel for your wife so sad

I would like too wish her a Happy Birthday
