Usually this means breeding them to retain adolescent behaviour all their lives, so that they never become “adult” and start challenging their human companions for dominance. basically Taming is a term that applies to individuals, while domestication is a term that applies to groups of animals that have been selectively bred. -

Smoking in public
You mean smoking weed in public? Well, it only became legal in 2022. However, I have to disagree - most foreign stoners / cannabis users tend to be quite respectful and smoke only where it's permitted. Essentially, other than at cannabis cafes and dispensaries, I have yet to see any widespread flouting of the law. There ARE consequences and foreigners are likely to be fined 2000-5000 Baht if caught by the police. I often go to tourist areas, but I don't spend my time hanging out in tourist ghettoes, which may account for my perceptions being different. For me, the most touristy places I visit are cities such as Chiang Mai, Koh Chang, Ao Nang, Krabi sometimes for a night and Khao Lak. I guess if you're in the middle of Koh Phangan where everyone is a foreigner, it's more likely you'll stumble across some disrespectful foreigners lighting up, but generally speaking, at restaurants where smoking of anything is banned, neither Thais nor foreigners do so. They usually go outside to smoke. Again, I emphasize that I don't hang out in Phangan, Samui, Phuket etc. I've never even been to the first two. I do visit Koh Chang on occasion and haven't seen anyone smoking weed where they're not supposed to. I occasionally pass through Pattaya on a day trip, but except for someone smoking on the street, I haven't seen any tourist "misbehaving" either. Don't know about bars, but might happen at some of the girlie bars. Not my kind of scene so I can't comment as I'm not a sexpat. -

Health Insurance
As Scuba said above, make sure that you have made complete declaration of any pre-existing conditions. My suggestion would be to submit medical records going back as far as you can and let the insurer decide what affects their underwriting judgement. Don't just fill out the proposal form based upon what you can recall or what you understand about your medical history. Many of us have test results or doctors' notes in our medical files that haven't been properly explained to us or which were are unaware of that could be cited as as non-disclosure and thus grounds for denying a claim and canceling a policy from inception. Also, make sure you read the policy beforehand and make yourself aware of any obligations you may have under the policy. If you take care of the above, you are unlikely to have any issues with PC when it comes to claims. -

Which banks pay interest on savings accounts to foreigners?
They all do. However, it's a common scam where someone who works in the bank takes all the interest that foreigners should get. One school I taught in, I realized that no one was getting interest and found out who was taking it. The bank worker came to see the head of school and pleaded for us to take the interest but not to ask for arrears as she could have been in big trouble. -

I know nothing about bananas so will take your word for it. All I know is that my favourite are Kluai Khai (กล้วยไข่) - small fruits with firm sweet flesh and very thin deep yellow skins (steady on Matron!) -
