It's a dead, Barron's Kukri snake ,Oligodon barroni,

at least that's what i think, others will say its a Cobra !

Join Facebook group Snakes of Chiang Mai. Quick i.d. from experts, good info and some nice pics. I've learned most common snakes by being in this group. yes, its a kukri.

His cat killed it.

Looks like a kukri-- can be aggressive but not venomous. A kukri will have slight pinkish tint to the underbelly and will raise its tail when agitated.

They usually claim it was a dog or a cat that kills these snakes.

 

I downloaded the photo magnified it x2 and its obvious to see its head has been hacked clean off. No cat could have done that unless it was a tiger.

 

Leave Thailand's wildlife alone, don`t kill things.
