Police are hunting for a 53 year old Ayuthaya man after a shooting incident left 28 year old Thaworn Thaorathat shot dead in a pick-up parked outside a house in Ban Praek district.

The shooter is Direk Chuchert who fled the scene after using a shotgun to kill his nephew in law on Wednesday.

Police have appealed for him to give himself up after searches at friends and relatives came up empty.

Ayuthaya cops said that on Wednesday Direk's son Jakkrit Chuchert, 16, was spray painting a motorcycle out front of his house when Thaworn drove by at speed revving his engine causing dust to fly up and damage the spray job.

Jakkrit admonished him and Thaworn, in a furios rage, got out and tried to strangle the boy forcing him to the ground. He then fled the scene only to return later that night and again rev his engine.

This proved the final straw for father Direk who shot Thaworn in his Toyota pick-up then fled.

Police said there had been a long running feud in the family characterized by the victim bullying Direk's son who suffers from a blood circulation problem.

Why not call the cops? I saw a few weeks ago where they arrested and fined a bunch of kids for revving and spinning their tires.... forgot the term used, but it is actionable in Thailand.

Now everybody will be screwed in this situation.

They really need to study why there are so many mental health issues in Thailand and why people take such extreme measures to deal with problems before considering the consequences. It seems that all of these people have weapons nearby (guns and knives) to utilize when their short fuses are ignited.
