Best word for bank safe-deposit box ?

Looking for the most common word in use today for "bank safe-deposit box". 

 I have looked in various dic. but not happy with them. 

Also in thai writing, please.

Ron19, I see some of the problems encountered in research.
ฝั่ง and ชายฝั่ง are nouns, ฝั่งคลอง canal bank. You need a verb ฝากสมบัติ *entrust*property "
boxing is the verbal noun of box as in fighting.

In English we say box because originally it was your box which the bank kept in their safe. The system in larger banks, not my bank in England, is a whole wall of mini safes inside a room which is itself a large safe . Thailand has adopted the word safe for safety box, we have kept the word safety box for these mini safes.

nabbie, ตู้นิรภัยดีภูษิดธนาคาร says : safe-depo(o)sit-bank.

You could make ฝาก mean deposit and say ตู้นิรภัยฝากธนาคาร

Just in case there are others who didn’t understand my post.  I was trying to be helpful by printing out that translation dictionaries can be misleading.

When looking for safety box, on finding ตู้นิรภัย one might conclude that ตู้ means ‘box’ when it actually means “cupboard”.

  Similarly a Thai speaker looking for an English translation might come to the conclusion that he should call a cupboard a box. 

 

ตู้>นิรภัย means: thing used to keep things in, may have shelves and/or door > Free of danger.
