I am looking for touch-up paint, the small cans with the brush to paint small scratches, anybody know where I can find it in Bangkok?

And I tried to find out the color code for our Toyota Corolla Altis, year 2004, should be near the door, but couldnt find it yet.

I think the colcor is called "Desert Sand Mica", a gold look like color, but I am not sure.

Thanks,

Phil

I found the touch up paint (Holts Colour Touch Pencil) that exactly matches the color of my white exclusive Fortuner at Autobacs on Narathiwat Rd. near south Sathorn. Believe it's a British brand but Autobacs being Japanese retailer it appears to have come from Japan (instruction in Japanese). You might need compound for finish after touch up (also available from Holts at Autobacs).

If you still have a small can of touch up paint that came with your car when bought new (in glove box) that should tell the color code.

Thanks a lot, Nordlys!

I will give Autobacs and the glove box a try tomorrow.

Desert Sand Mica color code seems to be 4Q2.

Here's autobacs sathorn tel #: 0-2676-4370.

They have another oulet in Pattanakarn.

Don't expect anyone there to speak English. When I went there looking for touch up paint I was told they don't carry such a product, but found they have a whole range of Holts touch up paint in different colors. You can search with both the color name and the code, however, the color name and what brand car it is applicable is written only in Japanese (and the model name, although there's no Altis in Japan).

EDIT: I just searched in Holts Japan website and it appears there's no touch up paint for 4Q2 available, but I'm sure you can find a color that's close. My car's color is super white 2 (040), and there were 6 or 7 different white touch ups available.

Nordlys, thanks a lot for the details!

It all started out not easy today when I found out, that my wife took both car keys to the province until tomorrow and I couldnt get into the glove box and not into the car at all. :D

But I´ve been to the Narathiwat branch today anyway, they´ve got dozens of white, blue and silver colors but just one gold, which doesnt fit my car´s color. But really good to know that shop, I bought plenty of other stuff that I couldnt find since my move to Thailand :o

Wasnt really pleasant to be at autobacs due to several car audio systems playing different tunes at full volume the same time in the showroom, I would get mad if I would have to work there all day. :D

For the touch-up I ll go to toyota and buy the oem color.

I tried to do the same thing when I thought my car didn't come with the factory-supplied touch-up paint can (turned out my wife took it out of the glove box immediately after I bought the car and misplaced it somewhere). But I was told by Toyota dealer it can not be ordered like a spare part and you get that can only once when bought new. If you or your family member is the original owner of your car, chance is you still have that can somewhere in your house!
