Scanguard apperared on my laptop unasked. I scanned it with Avast anti-virus and found it clean, however Scanguard claimed to have found over 500 viruses and malware on my system which could be removed for a fee. I suspect that it could be a scam.

I searched for ScanGuard on the web and after reading the following article I share the concern about the dubious usefulness of this program.

Ad servers select ads to be displayed at random, I believe, but I shall pass your suggestion to exclude this particular ad on to Thaivisa's techies.
