BANGKOK, 17th April 2018 (NNT)-Thailand has been placed 36th in this year’s ranking on the ease of doing business by the World Bank, following a significant effort by the Thai government to make the business environment more appealing to investors.

In the latest report entitled ‘Doing Business’ by World Bank, Thailand is the world’s 36th best country for business activities among 190 nations surveyed. It is believed certain business regulation amendments in the past have contributed to a better ranking this year.

The government is also planning to simplify a business registration process by reducing the existing 700,000 business permission licenses to 1,000 within a few years.

Moreover, the Department of Business Development is planning to offer a 30% reduction on a business fee for any entrepreneur registering their businesses online. The fee reduction will be proposed to the Office of the Council of State for consideration before being introduced.

Other factors contributing to the ease of doing business in Thailand also include the availability of basic infrastructure and capital resources.

Sounds very easy :shock1:

If you are Thai perhaps, but then why do so many Thai businesses register in Hong Kong or Singapore ?  As a foreigner, the rules are terrible.  You need a work permit just to exhibit at a trade show.   That does not occur in other countries in Asia.
