    300k... I see them advertised anywhere between 320k-390k !! The buyer is like family though, so we aren't going to over charge him.. No deposit and just 5k/month, that's not a bad deal for him..

I picked up a new 4 door BT-50 Mazda(Hi Racer) for 700K as our local dealer had a promotion on.

It is still a truck ride but better than the previous 2 door BT-50 we had. 

 

With the smallest engine they could find in the cupboard.
Maybe tickled to have high power by electronic wizardry, but a bigger engine in a pickup like that would be much nicer.
The trailer can only be 2200 kilo!
I think they call it 'engineering'.

Being a Fan of Trucks for Traders Only, i must mention Hondas Stupidity . The American Honda Ridgeline beats anything here for Carlike Feel, and they dont sell it here!!. Its not that  inferior to a new Accord, yet the Toyots here are nothing like a Camrey, or Nissan a Maxima, sorry dont know the name fo it here.!. But when you say a truck here is Carlike compare it by size, wheelbase etc. its not hard to say a new Isuzu rides better than a Mitsu Mirage.

I dunno about improvement Isuzu's new engine is built with internal mechanical bits in design similar to BM who has been leader I believe in powerful quiet diesel engines for a long time.

There are web sites read ups on the 1.9 Isuzu lump it's allegedly a big improvement on the previous 2.4.

 

Our Isuzu 1.9 has good turbo power and goes surprisingly well if that's what you mean by torque.

With a full 76 litres of fuel using the 6 speed box and trotting along at 100-110 empty reads out in dash info 15 kilos to litre when we are overloaded :laugh: it shows 11+ to 12+.

Dunno what you mean by price to pay the only thing I find weird is the air suspension when empty but really good when loaded.

I guess they do seeing as they have engine building plant in Thailand there were Isuzu ties with GM as with many using Isuzu or vice-versa.

Isuzu diesel engines have been used all over the world by dozens of vehicle manufacturers, including Ford, Renault, Nissan, Mazda and Mitsubishi.

Toyota went into discussion with Isuzu but it fell through.

Think you might be mistaken on those figures.. I paid 18k baht for service up to 100k km, every 10k km.. Ford service fees are actually very reasonable..

Really ? 18k for 10 services !!

Average 1,800 per service is expensive ? Just changing oil and filter costs 1000 baht

But, the new Fords need syn oil, lots of it, so no way a service will be in your price range...

2018 Isuzu 1st 10K service was 2,360 bht.

But the Ranger Raptor isn't being touted as a family camper, trailer-hauler or a tradies truck is it? It's an off-road 4x4 with bespoke suspension. The 'smallest engine they could find in the cupboard' is a twin-turbo so bugger all to do with 'electronic wizardry' and will probably pull the skin of your rice pudding faster than you can say 'Rocco is an Italian porn star', your 460 cu. in. V8... or both.

Still , 1.7 million baht is a lot for a pick up .

This is the pre 2016  model which although still in the range has been replaced with the new 2.5 Duramax marketing twaddle with 180hp and 440nm torque and a whole raft of changes  making it a much much better model, new test here , I notice Malaysia offers a way better warranty than Thailand at 5  years 200k km than the Thai 100k  kilometres and 3  years, test here with Ranger

Service costs for just oil change are low within the first years, as the kilos build up & years other fluids need changing along with brakes & belts they can easily reach 4000 and more.

If anyone has drive the new ride that Kawasaki has, my thoughts were that the extra CCs in Ford n Toyo dont do much. Superb Value imo.

Yep, I recently had the brake, auto trans and power steering fluids changed..

I am talking about regular 10000 services not the ocational high ones, where all fluids are changed
