Sorry, what exactly is the question?  You need an entry stamp?  Did you not get one when you first entered the Kingdom of Thailand?

Are you on a visa exempt entry?  If so you can do 2 border crossings before you must get a 'visa better suited to your purpose'

Failing that you could get an 2 week extension at immigration for 1900 baht.

More information is needed as to your actual visa status in order to give a more definitive reply.

I have a 1 year education visa, which is up in a few days.

I plan on taking a European trip in 6 weeks, so I just need 40 days.

I know you can get a 30 day entry stamp when flying in, and then can extend for another 30.

I'm not sure if it's a 15 or 30 day stamp at Mae Sai.

Is it also possible to extend my 1 year visa by 30 days?

I heard from one of my ex-apartment mate that she got 30 days although it was reported that it should be 15 days. So you don't have to fly out when there's a cheaper land option.

You can extend by another 30 days if you have a tourist visa, not sure about Ed visa but there's no harm asking at Promenada.

By the way, where did you study Thai? Were the teachers good?

Hmmmm not sure on these 'education' visas (shonky or otherwise).

I'm of the understanding that the actual ed visa can be extended but there is a limit.... as you only have a few days left before expiry I would get it sorted sooner rather than later or you could be up for some nasty fines.

Trip to Promenade or an agent beforehand may be a good option. Assist Thai Visa are a sponsor of TV and are pretty good with info.

Their office is in Chiang Mai land which is just off Chang Klan Road.
