Anyone experience of what is accepted by HMRC please?

A copy of the certicate the flowery one or the  pages from the Town Hall with the record?

Did you need to have it translated.

Did it have to be endorsed by Thai or UK authorities.

I am reluctant to post the original if there is another way?

Any help welcome..

Their application form states

"Please send us your marriage or civil partnership certificate, certificate of annulment, certificate of civil partnership dissolution or decree absolute. In Scotland this is called a decree of divorce. It must be the original or a certified copy of the original. We will send it back to you as soon as we can."

OP when i applied for my UK pension, they asked for original marriage certificate ( not copy).

No translation required, send the original they said, it will be returned, it was, no problems what so ever.
