Sanook said that people who use motorcycle taxi services in Bangkok and its surrounding areas prefer the regular services of the jacketed riders (win) versus those of Grab Bike available through an app.

But a poll showed that many people have doubts about public motorcycle taxi services in the capital with many reporting threatening and even obscene behavior.

And many who used Grab commented on the politeness of the riders.

The Nida Poll asked people who use motorcycle taxi services. The survey was conducted on May 30th and 31st 2018.

Asked about the biggest problems 43% of respondents cited safety that included fast driving, use of the footpath, going the wrong way down streets and making threats to the public.

Thirty two per cent said the biggest bugbear was rip-offs over fares.

Some 11.5% said they had never encountered a problem.

Another 5% said the main problem was refusing fares and dumping passengers mid-journey while nearly 5% said it was exhibiting behavior of a threatening sexual nature.

In the debate over Win vs Grab the former came out the winner in terms of public choice - 65% said they used win while 34% went for Grab.

Out of the win users 73% cited convenience, 24 % the registration of drivers and vehicles and 17% the fact that they were familiar with the drivers in their neighborhood.

Among the Grab users 65% cited convenience of use through the app, 40% said there were fair and reliable prices and 33% mentioned politeness of the riders.

Meaning only a measly  88.5% said they had encountered a problem.

Enough spin in that little gem to make even the TAT blush

I would rather use the professional drivers the ones that drive daily for a living and am not interested in using a non professional part time driver the one that needs the cash, just to save a few baht,

Would you use a professional and registered dentist or someone that says he can do teeth repairs for less baht?

So the win voters have probably never used grab.threatening or obscene behaviour, rip off prices, behaviour of a threatening sexual and obscene nature.i don't think it's part of grabs policy to employ people of this nature.one day it will be a dying job being a win rider and they will have to join the likes of grab and the scum won't last long before getting the boot.i think the poll is a load of crap.ask how many grab customers would go back to win.

around a certain pier in North of BKK once upon a time a road was gonna have a bus service, nice new buses purchased, bus stops erected, roads newly surfaced and all the spinning stuff on it

turns out the place was not ready for buses, cos only the songtaew use that road........

and you've gotta be careful not to get into a beef with them ones, however well or otherwise they drive on the nonthaburi 1 road, no buses though, at least not for passengers, only for buses to move through, empty like.
