New law about street fighting

I was sitting in police station today and couldn’t hemlmear wig on the case next to me 

 

apparently there is a new law now where if you have a street fight then you can be fined up to 10,000 baht each and up to 1 month in jail or both 

 

before only 500 baht fine

 

if so this is quite worrying 

 

can anyone verify or clarify this 

 

I shall try to filter out all the piss taking comments till I get an answer first that actually answers my questuon

 

after that can banter on lol cheers

The law is still not harsh enough. Smoking on the beach gets you a harder fine and jail.

 

Is it not about time to teach those drunk tatooed bullies or the agressive ladyboys that they will rot in jail,  if they consider the streets as their private boxing rings ?

 

As for the change of rules, a dishonest Thai cop can use any other law law to extort money from expats and falangs,  so nothing new here.

This must be for foreigners.  To beat up a faring of any age is a 500 baht and a fine to a Thai, always has been always will be.  But, like in anything else here, the faring is the ATM.

I just herd them say it was a new law and admitted that before it was just 50 Baht fine but now it’s up to 10,000 baht and 1 month in prison 

 

in end the police let these 2 Forangs off with a warning do they didn’t take any money off them

Head kicking automatically a mandatory minimum sentence of 6 Months jail is what i like to recommend plus all medical bills paid for victim and hefty fines.

i was ask to meet a guy on a street corner for a fight he was 38 at the time i was 58 after the fight was finished the loser when to hospital that was him and i ended up at the police station, i had to pay 40,000 baht for his hospital bills and 30,000 baht to the police. there are no winners in the fight game in the street.

yes i was a fool and im retired from all that crap now, i keep out of bars to avoid these dick head babies that go crying to the police after they try to take an old man on and end up getting a good hiding.

i assume you've never had a fight, no queens bury rules in a street fight.

The idea is not to get into fights and yes anyone kicking someone his head should get a minimum sentence of 6 months in jail. 

 

I really don't get it why get into fights at all is it an ego thing ? Self defense i can understand but going to a street fight is just crazy.

Then you better move country as they have judges here not jurors. So if you want to be tried by 12 your in the wrong place.

I am over it, I don't care and yes I am Mr sensible compared with you. As long as you accept whatever happens to you not my problem. I doubt i would ever get into a fight with you as I just swallow my pride, just dislike people who go out looking for trouble. We had those kind of guys back home, their idea of fun was to beat someone up and they would be walking around bumping into people trying to illicit a response. 

 

As for the point your making i know it, i just avoid getting there and you don't your choice your life. I really do feel that fighting should be punished harshly especially if damage is done to an other person. Its so easy to really damage someone and do permanent damage that is why i feel strongly about it. Do i care about 2 people who both want to fight .. not really. I care more about the people who attack others that don't want to fight.

The problem in Thailand is that if a Thai (or a group of Thais) attack you then you end up being charged as being a 'participant in a fight' instead of a victim of an assault and battery.  It like if you get attacked it becomes your fault.

It's a street fighting term. A hemlemear wig is what you wear after all your natural hair has been pulled out in a previous fight. Very popular on soi 6 after taking on the massed hospitality ladies.

i think your missing my point i agree with most of what you are saying, i have never looked for fights and never started a fight but i wont let people take the piss either.

I don't really see that once you agree to meet at a street corner to fight your looking for a fight. Something that could be avoided. So maybe you and I have a different idea about what looking for a fight is.
