Chromebook Apps ?

Featured Replies

I have sudden need to return to Thailand, perhaps 2 months.

I leave here Tuesday early am.

My laptop is bricked, bad bios flash.

Have a Samsung Chromebook XE503C12-K02US.

I must use it and I will need 'some' apps ,,,

- LINE

- a torrent client

- a media player

- a VPN

* can't think of any others

Please, suggestions or advice very welcome.

Not sure I'm clear on the issue?

Can't you just go to the PlayStore and find the apps you require? Or are you looking for specific app. recommendations?

Read the reviews.

LINE is LINE,

uTorrent or qBtorrent

VLC, MX Player

VPN depends, do you have a service, if so, use their app.

As regards to "other" apps, who knows, there are gazillions.

Thank for the reply,

Got this unit (new) from my neighbor 2 years ago ($50)

then there were almost no apps for a chromebook

I read indications which said many android apps would be ported

I understand chromebook is not a popular platform

back then I did try vlc, it sucked

Perhaps things have changed.

I only use the CB for e-mail.

Note there is scant info on TVF concerning chromebooks.

Was hoping a member whom has one would contribute.

The needs I listed (4 apps) will suffice.
