Lao woman arrested with meth pills in Mukdahan

A Lao woman was arrested in Mukdahan’s Wan Yai district after allegedly selling 19,724 methamphetamine pills to undercover police early Thursday.
 

The 44-year-old woman, named as Dungphone, was arrested while delivering the drugs to an undercover policeman on a rural road.

 

She tried but failed to escape when police identified themselves as law-enforcement officers.

 

Police planned the arrest after receiving a tip-off that the woman had opened a small shop selling petrol as a front to sell drugs to youths in the neighbourhood.
