The Bangkok Mass Transit Authority’s (BMTA) today officially launched QR Code ticketing system for its Airport Bus service from Don Mueang airport to the heart of the capital.

The launch followed yesterday’s ceremony chaired by Transport Minister Arkom Termpitthayapaisith to commence  the  launch of the QR code ticketing system for the BMTA’s airport bus service from Don Mueang international airport to the centre of the capital.

The two bus routes from Don Mueang airport  are Route A1 from Don Mueang to Chatuchak, and Route A2 from Don Mueang to the Victory Monument.

Just how does this thing work then?

Do you point your phone at a bus? Do you scan something it the airport? How do you pay? Can you still use cash?

Very lacking in detail for us dinosaurs.
