A man fatally shot his pregnant girlfriend and severely injured her father and himself inside the Nakhon Pathom Hospital on Friday at around 1:30pm.

Police did not identify the attacker and two victims.

Witnesses told police that the young man turned up at the hospital and had a dispute with the woman and the older man who appeared to be her father. The young man was heard shouting about why he had been kept in the dark about the pregnancy and pulled out a .357 revolver and fired at the woman and the man before turning the pistol on himself.

The woman later died while the two men were in critical condition.

Other patients were shocked by the sound of gunfire.

  • Did it occur to you the other patients were in bed and saw nothing of the incident? All they heard were the gunshots. And who said they weren't concerned about the outcome apart from you?

Hopefully he will make a full recovery.

So he can get a death sentence which will be commuted and then he can rot in jail

But not shocked by the sight of a man shooting someone and then trying to kill himself? This journo obviously missed the class on "relevant details" ?

You took down my reply to the vile post, but there is no need to apologise for doing the right thing.

Posters like that should be banned, not just sent t the naughty room for a few days.

He answered his own question with his actions.

Unfortunately, these incidents are becoming way too common.......

We have only been told the woman was pregnant, doesn`t mean the guy as her boyfriend was the father of her unborn child. We as outsiders looking in will never know the full facts of this case.

A lot of crazy stuff going on and a lot of crazy people out there, in this mixed up, insane world.

What a shocking outcome, killed his GF and his own unborn child.

...or someone elses unborn child, perhaps that is why he was kept in the dark

Where did he get the 357 from?

not a cheap pistol

Well its good they made a new law here that farangs can not walk with guns around even if its filly licensed now maybe they can draft that law also for their own kind?

way to easy to get guns here gun possession 3 years jail mandatory!

A mentally immature population, lots of hardship in society, little prospects on the horizon, and easy access to guns...

Expect many more lives ending this way.

Would almost remind one of the reactions of the gun lobby after a bunch of school kids get blown away in another country?

i wonder if all were thais, something happened in that family  to make him do it.very sad for one family

Update - the victim's father in law has since died.

So was he her dad, his dad, or was she married to someone else and the male victim was the husbands dad????

But then I just don’t understand how he could be kept in the dark about the pregnancy unless he hadn’t seen her in a while????

And if he is so concerned about the pregnancy then why kill 3 people????

Amazing Thailand!!!!

Are they more common or is it just that more are reported in the English language press and websites such as this? I don't know.

Obviously a failure to embrace the responsibilities involved in fatherhood, which most Thais achieve simply by doing a runner ?
