what day of the week and what time will you be making the transfer ?  how long is the tight timeframe ? i assume you mean DMK to BKK airport.  the link provided in #3 suggests 30 minutes to suvarnabhumi.  i don't think you can make that trip in 30 minutes even if you are in a taxi on the tollway at midnight.  as an example, depending on the traffic inside DMK, it can take 10 minutes just to get to the tollway entrance.

It really depends on the time of day, what are your arrival time and your dep time from BKK?

You can use the free AOT shuttle bus if you have an outbound ticket from BKK. Takes around 45 mins to 60 mins peak.

Loads of info on options in the airport forums.

I've only done this once and the traffic was a nightmare. Took me over an hour.

It doesn't need exceptional traffic to use up about an hour.

That was with the shuttle bus on the tollways (multiple times) and I would not expect wonders from a taxi.

They may squeeze out 15 minutes or so?

The OP didn't uncover how tight his schedule is :whistling:

Maybe time to look for a helicopter shuttle

For domestic to international (?) everything closer than 3 hours (flight schedule) is a game of luck.

Thai Smile Airways and Viet Jet Air fly to / from BKK, so for future travels you should try to use one of them if you have a connecting flight from BKK, much more relaxed
