Several traders who supplied raw materials to Tapan Hin Witthayakarn municipal school in Tapan Hin district of Phichit province reported themselves to the municipal office on Sunday for questioning regarding school lunch corruption which is the subject of an investigation as ordered by the provincial governor.

A chicken trader who supplied chicken to the school, Mr Prasit Kongkiam, said this was his first meeting with municipal officials since a probe team was set up about five months ago to prove the alleged corruption.

He told Thai PBS reporter that, on Friday, municipal officials approached the suppliers asking them to sign a document confirming that they sold raw materials to Tapan Hin Witthayakarn school at a fixed price of 90 baht for every item of raw materials. But they refused to sign because they sold at different prices for different materials.
