Both unable to drive a Vehicle on public roads.
Both 100% unsuitable in public passenger Transport.
Hopefully this bad apples will be sorted out and forced to look for another job that has nothing to do with public transport.

"Uthen and his passenger Mongkhon Nonngam, 41, took offence when the pick-up driver stared at them."

I recall my primatology field studies prof reminding us to never make eye contact with our subjects. It is perceived as a threat among other species of primates.

Hopefully a few months staring at steel bars will give them time to work out something. ??

It's not the worst drug ever.  That would be alcohol, with tobacco a close second. Most meth users grow out of it,  unlike alcohol.  You likely pass dozens of 'tweaking' meth users on the street, and would not even know of it, unlike alcohol.

Ever heard of death by meth overdose?  It's possible,  but improbable. Unlike alcohol.

Sure chronic user can lose the plot,  but the damage they do is minute,  compared to drunk brawlers and drunk drivers.

And it is now EVERYWHERE.

In some western nations they measure its rising consumption in the city waste water systems.

And yet the world is not falling apart,  except in the Philippines, aparrently.

Try some drug science, instead of the lame myths the media feed us.

Try life without any drugs I'd say was a good alternative.

Would agree with the eye contact comment.

Drove in Cairo for over 10 years. Enjoyed it immensely. Too much traffic to really be a dangerous place to drive, but, so easy to wind up the local drivers. Their need to butt in when obviously in the wrong lane (on the odd occasion when lane discipline was being adhered to) was second to none. Just ignore them, stare straight ahead and keep going. Any eye contact made and chances are the helpful instinct comes into play, particularly when it's obvious they are getting a tad angry!! Very useful to only drive an older, slightly battered, car. I ain't stopping in that. A new car, well that usually means a less aggressive driving style. Never had a bash, but Pyramids Road was a bit of a nightmare at times.

O you can spot a hard core meth user. For starters no teeth as they develope meth mouth which is rotting of the teeth. Also skin issues, yes meth doesn't kill them usually aids.

Yaba means translated crazy drug.
Alcohol and cigarettes are certainly more important as a mass drug in absolute terms. But intense Yaba usage makes the addicts extremely aggressive and also Zombie like behavior is observable. Anxiety, Paranoia and total cognitive brain failure are observable.

??

Most cities have traffic jams with cars buses lorries etc. Cairo throws in camels horses donkeys sheep potholes and beggars. Well it did in the 80's.

Yep, the 80's were interesting as well.

Although driving around Cairo, as well as Alexandria and the north coast, in a Landrover made it less of a chore. Donkeys are certainly best to be avoided as our construction manager found out near Hammam on his last night in country after taking good care of his L/rover for 3 years. A mile short of the camp and wrote off the donkey , luckily with no injury to himself but a rather badly damaged L/rover.
