A local district official and another man were shot dead in a hail of bullets at a house by a factory in Ban Khong district of Ratchaburi yesterday evening.

The owner of the house and factory - known locally as "Sia Mee" (Mr Bear) has disappeared.

All CCTV evidence and shell casings have also gone.

Ban Khong police went to the up market house on the Ban Khong to Petchkasem Road where they found lots of tables set up in the garden for a party. Opposite the house is the Chomngern Co Ltd meat processing factory.

Dead from four bullet wounds in the garden was an unknown man.

At the rear of the property a toilet door had been broken down. Inside was the body of the "sarawat kamnan" (local chief) of Ban Khong district who was named as Methasit Pongsamrit, 43.

He had been shot five times and a five baht weight bracelet, a seven baht weight necklace and ten amulets were missing.

The houses's CCTV had been removed and shell casings collected up indicating a professional hit.

The owner of the house and factory Natthakit Wonganansuk or "Sia Mee" had disappeared.

Police said that most of the guests at the factory party had gone home when a fight broke out followed by shooting, reported Daily News.

Investigations continue.

...and "rests his case" probably.

Glad to see that the forensic photographer takes "preserving the crime scene" seriously with polythene overshoes and hair cover. Pity about am the other police onlookers who clearly have no idea!
