Mae Sai 'flooding'?

Featured Replies

Le Wife mentioned flooding at Mae Sai. Need to do a 90 day border hop.
Googling news had nothing of import.
Does any one have clearer news if it is affecting the immigration office(s)?
The current webcam capture does not seem ominous.

Was there last week, no problems at all in the town and along the main road (torrential rain), take a brolly.

The roadworks in the mountains (8km?) after Doi Saket were a muddy, bumpy nightmare as usual, but the bus seemed to cope.

Just did it today Fri 03AUG. Sweet trip from Fang in a Blue9 van both ways.

I got until HALLOWEEN to 'get out of Dodge' again.

The river looked like a rabid  mud puddle bit I now see it would take a rather improbable rise to swamp the bridge head

.
Pretty cool little shop to the left called 'Mr. DIY' just after you re-enter. 3 floors. Smells like a hardware store oughtta smell.
