My 30-day visa exempt entry expires on Tuesday August 28th. I will go and apply for a 30-day extension on Tuesday morning for another 30 days (or do I need to go on Monday the 27th to get the extension?). I am just curious if Tuesday counts as day 1 of 30 and I'm trying to buy a flight, meaning should I book my flight out on Wednesday September 26th or Thursday September 27th?

Day 1 of the 30 day extension will be Wednesday 29th regardless of which day you apply.

 

Thursday 27th September will be your last (60th) day.

It does not matter when you apply for the 30 day extension it will start on the 29th of August. The extension starts from the date you current entry ends.

I did apply for visa extension twice. The police officer who works at the reception at the immigration advised me to apply a week before that date
