Video: Lopburi police want a chat with threatening Thai motorist

A Thai motorist caught on film by a news reporter doing an illegal U-Turn did not let the matter rest there.

 

He went on the road bridge to challenge the Channel 7 newsman saying he had no right to film.

 

Then he pushed him, made a grab for his phone and then threatened another person sitting in the news vehicle parked below.

 

Somsak Amthong posted the experience on Facebook and it hit the Channel 7 news.

 

Somsak went to Lopburi police to report the incident that occurred on a bridge outside the Thai Rath Withaya school in Muang district on Saturday.

 

Somsak said he feared reprisals against his family.

 

Police are checking records of vehicle ownership but Pol Capt Wichai Saengbut said they believe they know the individual and have issued a summons for him to explain himself.

 

No charges have yet been made in the matter.
