I recently spent an interesting couple of days rebuilding a small Honda Pop 50cc scooter. Ultimately, all it needed was a new piston and rings but when I finished with it, it even had a new coat of paint and a new set of tires. And all it cost me was 1500 Baht and I now have my own personal transport to run around the village with.
