Pattaya police arrested a Beach Road hooker for yet another theft "during the hours of darkness". 

 

They said that Amporn or Ploy, 29, had stolen many times before. 

 

This time she drugged an Indian man who had gone with her to his hotel room on the night of September 2nd and stole 11,000 baht from his trousers when he passed out.

 

The pair had been drinking alcohol in his room after they met by the beach. The Indian reported the matter to the Pattaya police.

 

The cops got a warrant as they knew who she was but she kept moving around so it took them two weeks to track her down, said Sanook. 

 

She has been charged with theft during the hours of darkness.

Maybe a good long stint behind bars would give her a new perspective on life as a thief but then again she could just become worse depending on the women she serves time with . 

Another possibility would be a billboard somewhere on Beach Rd with the faces and names of women and ladyboys who commit these crimes and they may actually leave the area .

there comes a time when enough is enough and these dangerous repeat offenders need to be locked up since the fines don't seem to be working, simple maths - the fines are a fraction of what she is thieving and maybe gets caught or reported for 1% of it

Not to defend her in any way, but it seems like a clear defamation case against Sanook and Thaivisa to call her a "hooker".  It's pretty much defamation as a matter of law unless she was convicted for such a charge.  Nothing in their reports indicates she was bartering sex for money.  She's just an alleged thief.

Two weeks to "track her down" because she "kept moving around"....LOL.

 

She's a 'Coconut Bar' worker, ie. Beach Road is her workplace and the Police Station is on Beach Road.

By Thai law, it is more serious after dark. That's why it's best to do your 7 eleven shoplifting during daylight hours.

I have met some nice girls on BR.

But, I always take them to a ST hotel the first time few times.  No drinking just business.

Maybe after a few times (which is rare) I will take them to my room.  But again, everything is locked up and my intention is not to party, so no drinks.  A glass of water from my bottle is about it.

Just another note: I have been ripped off only once at a legit massage shop a couple of years back.  A legit place off second road no special service.

Went to take a shower after a oil massage and came back 3,000 b stolen from my pants. They just claimed I was mistaken.

Stupid yes, now I always take everything with me to the shower. Just a word for the wise you never know.

Used to be same in UK where housebreaking and burglary were different crimes with different penalties. But these differences were swept away by the Theft Act 1968, except for Scotland. Maybe next century Thailand will catch up. Maybe in the  entity after that they will have an effective police force and justice system.
