"My By CAT", CAT as mobile operator, experiences?

Featured Replies

Until recently I wasn't even aware that CAT is in the end-user mobile phone business.

Now a mate swears that this is the thing to have.

If information in the WiKi is up-to-date the coverage of "My By CAT" is limited.

Mainly central, eastern and eastern seaboard.

South, north and northeast not covered?

Does anyone have different information and/or experience with this service?

I've had a SIM for this service since 18 months but never got around to using it at all. No reason, I just have enough already with True and DTAC prepaid. The unusual thing about the prepaid CAT SIM is it has no time expiry? Mine came with 200THB on it 18 months ago and its still got 200THB on it today.

They might be the only one following the rules

But surely not a reason to get a SIM that does not work in your area (as my mate seems to go for).

I haven't used it for 18 months, but prior to that had reasonable connections in the north of Khon Kaen province.

That's interesting.

I again tried to find any useful information on their website regarding coverage to no avail.

All I find is that they seem to offer good internet packages.

I have already talked my mate out of this idea.

Sigh - been hoping for years that this would remain the best kept secret in Thailand - been using CAT since the old CDMA days and still use it with the new fibre optic connection - the best ever - honestly their service is really good - response time on rare problem reporting good - (even in English) - Used the My CAT service without problems as well - and yes - I do not live in an urban area - as you may say - rural Isaan.

Fully agree with Lunggil.

And yes, good signal in the villages
