My 90-day date is Saturday October 13th. (Didn't realise they opened on a Saturday?)

This is right in the middle of the Veggy Festival.

Are there any days Immigration is closed around that date because of the festival?

 

Also, do they still close for lunch and call out for 90-day reporters to go first when they re-open?

They never open on Saturdays.

I don't think they have closures for the veg festival, it's more a Chinese Tao thing than the more normal Buddhist rite.

 

You can always do your 90 day report early (any day this week), or up to 5 working days after due date (any day next week). The date given is not an appointment, just when your 90 days is due.

Don't know about lunch break procedures.

Thanks, OC. I think they used to adjust the date on the stamp so it would fall on a working day, but recently I've had a Sunday and now a Saturday.

 

Yes, I usually go a few days early so this Thursday will do.

The reason I asked about lunch was that last time I happened to go before lunch and the place was packed. I was seen at about 11am and it was still packed when I left. I couldn't see how they could process all those people by 12.
