BALI, 12th October 2018, (NNT) - The Thai Prime Minister has reaffirmed the stance of Thailand in pushing international connectivity especially among ASEAN member states. The statement was made during the ASEAN Leaders’ Gathering (ALG) in Bali, Indonesia.

According to the Deputy Speaker of the Prime Minister’s Office Lt. Gen. Weerachon Sukondhapatipak , leaders of ASEAN nations, representatives of the United Nations, the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and the World Bank also attended the unofficial conference.

The meeting between the 10 ASEAN member countries and the three international organizations, was aimed at exchanging ideas on promoting financial stability, developing the economy, and consolidating regional economies, in order to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals of the U.N.

During the ALG meeting, Thai Prime Minister Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha gave a speech on advancing international connectivity and connectivity among ASEAN member states, regional and global financial stability, along with accelerating economic growth. He deemed that the moves would lead to achieving prosperity, eliminating inequality and fulfilling the Sustainable Development Goals. General Prayut is of the opinion that the effort will contribute to preparations for future development challenges.

A summit of tastelessness - The Congress Dances
Near the tsunami hit area, fellows organize a Summit demonstrating their arrogant indifference.
After the tsunami disaster on October 5th on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi, relatives are still trying to identify victims.
But the beautiful appearance of the money world is directly opposite to the bitter reality: while the delegations were approaching Bali, the local government issued a new earthquake message: only 150 kilometres away from the dream hotels, temporary homes of the financial world, it came to a Quake of magnitude 6.3. Preliminary count: three dead.
After the severe tsunami in Indonesia, more than 200,000 people are still in desperate need for help. Unfortunately it is very unlikely they will get any from the country’s leaders and finance bosses...

As Thai's can barely speak a few words of English, including Prayut, and English is supposed to be the common language of ASEAN, i fail to see how they are going to improve 'connectivity'.   More Bullshit to baffle what few brains there are !
